I have over 18 years' experience supporting individuals and
organizations in managing stress and change, and helping them to
transform their lives and work. My experience has shown me that very
few people consciously take time out to ensure that their lives and
work are properly balanced and in line with their true values and
aspirations. Taking a "breathing space" to explore these issues is
extremely valuable, not only to enhance personal wellbeing but also to
increase job satisfaction and effectiveness at work.
My Background
From an early career in the arts, working for the Victoria
and Albert Museum and the Crafts Council, I retrained as a
counselor, coach and group facilitator, with Diplomas in Humanistic
Psychology (IDHP) and Stress Management. I am also a qualified
aromatherapist, and a keen writer, sound worker and craftsperson.
I now run Breathing Space Personal Growth Ltd, based in Bristol, UK,
helping clients 'Relax, Review and
Renew'. Programmes include personal coaching face
to face or by telephone for wellbeing, relaxation and stress control;
self nurturing mini-retreats, life review workshops, meditation
& mindfulness skills training, and creativity days exploring
the archetypal themes of the Four Elements. I have also released
'Journey through the Elements', a CD of guided
visualizations for relaxation and life balance.
My Interests
My interests include sound and voice work, creative writing, visual
arts and mythology.
