My Background
I am 34 years old and I live in North Wales with my
husband Andy and beautiful 5 month old baby daughter Rhieyen. Having
had endometriosis for most of my adult life, things took a turn
for the worst in July 2004 when I underwent emergency major bowel
surgery. The endometriosis had twisted my small bowel (very
rare for it to twist the small intestine) and lifesaving surgery was
the only option. Whilst I have recovered from the operation I continued
to have severe endometriosis and several other health
problems. Undergoing such a major trauma really makes you
consider your future and make the most out of your life.
I had always wanted to start my own business but could never
quite put my finger on what I wanted to do. I had worked as a
PA in a hospital for several years and wondered whether I could utilize
these skills at home.
On researching the Internet, I was amazed at the number of
Virtual Assistants that were out there supporting small to medium sized
businesses who cannot afford a full time secretary. This is
where the idea of Virtually Personal came from. I can
honestly say, it is the best thing I ever did and I am always thinking
of other services to add on.
