Jennie Bayliss - Life and Business Coach PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Jennie Bayliss

I am a very lucky woman! I live a great life and my work allows me to help people step into living their dream life too, which is both a privilege and an honor. I work with people on many different levels depending on how I can help them the most. I am a coach, mentor, healer, life-skills teacher, consultant and friend all wrapped up in one! Let me tell you a little more about me and what I do.

I created Red Dandelion in 2003. In the beginning I worked with just a handful of clients, but now I'm usually working with 25-30 clients at anyone time. People come to me for many reasons. For some it's because they need to 'fix' something that isn't working for them. They might be trying to find the love of their life, or are trying to untangle a relationship that is no longer working for them. Sometimes people come to sort out their work life to change direction, take a mid-life gap year, or break through their glass ceiling. Other people just feel stuck in general or at a cross-roads and they are

not sure what's wrong, just they don't feel like they are in the right place with their life. People who come to me for this type of coaching will usually work with me for 3-6 months which is a good period of time for people to have investigated and made a significant changes to their lives.

A few people will see coaching in a different way. Whilst all of the above may be part of their picture too, they are also on a spiritual path where coaching is a great tool to help them grow and blossom into the people they wish to become. I have several clients who enjoy working on themselves in this way. Most of these people have been working with me for over a year and a few for several years. Working at this deeper level is wonderful and I have walked along side some people who have radically transformed both themselves and their lives.

My coaching practice is usually fairly equally split between business and life coaching clients. On the business side I usually work with small business owners. My role is then more about being a sounding board, to be a co-creator in business strategies, and to keep people accountable to what they have decided and agreed to do.

I love the variety of my work and the clients I am blessed to work with. I often work with 5 or 6 clients a day and it's not unusual for me to skip from business strategies, to spiritual awakenings, to how to manage a toddler who has gained the upper-hand, all in one day! It keeps me on my toes but I wouldn't have it any other way, for I thrive on variety.

My Background

I have lived an unusual life and done some amazing things all of which helps me help others. I've lived in Paris, London, Jakarta, Singapore, Kobe, Bicester and now, in the beautiful resort of Weymouth. I began my career in hotels where my final position was Food & Beverage Analyst for the Gatwick Hilton. Whilst in the Far East in and around being a mum, I did voluntary and part-time work including helping at WWF Jakarta, teaching children to swim, writing, as well as printing and selling "Kids in Kobe" - a booklet to help ex- pats with children. When I came back to the UK, I started a graphic design company (although that's a grand name for how it started - but that is what it grew into!). I ran my design company for 13 years employing 4 people during the last few years, and then I sold it, and trained with CoachU to become a coach.

Things I'm proud of...

My wonderful daughters - who give me so much joy!

I love jogging and I've taken part in the Singapore Marathon, The Great North Run, and Triathlon in Banbury. I love swimming too, especially nowadays in the sea. I took part in the World Masters Swimming Championships in Casablanca, swam between 6 Greek islands and last year I swam from Malta to Gozo. This year I swam around Brownsea Island in Poole harbor.

I love to travel and have been fortunate to see and experience so many wonderful things, but top of my list was white water rafting with my daughters in the Grand Canyon and snorkeling in Rawa (a tiny island off the coast of Malaysia).

I'm just like you...

I see myself as special, yet ordinary too. If I can do these amazing things you can too! I would be delighted to help you do it, and you can! All you need to start this process of change is to choose to begin... and then it will all start to happen!
