I own and run a travel management company, UNIGLOBE New Horizon Travel,
which is situated in Benoni in Johannesburg. I was born in 2 March 1959
and was trained as a secondary school teacher. Even as a teacher, I
always had a passion for seeing far-away places.
My Background
After teaching for 7 years in Lesotho and Zimbabwe, I acquired a travel
diploma and thereafter I worked for Air Zimbabwe for another seven
years. In 1996, the entrepreneur in me was itching to come out. I left
the airline to run our family employment agency for two years. The
company grew in leaps and bounds and the novelty wore off, so did the
challenge. I then bought and ran a protective clothing company that I
later sold.
In 2001, I started a travel agency called Lazim Travel & Tours
in Harare Zimbabwe. It was accredited by IATA (International Air
Transport Association) in 2004. In March 2006,my husband and I moved to
South Africa and settled in Benoni, a satellite town east of
Johannesburg where in June 2006 I opened, Uniglobe New Horizon Travel,
a franchise of UNIGLOBE international. Young as our company is, we
pride ourselves with experienced, well traveled and professional travel
advisers whose passion it is to attend to the clients needs.
We cater for both corporate and leisure travel. We do holiday packages
for South Africa and the neighboring countries.
As a keen golfer, I coordinate golfing tours at any one of our
internationally acclaimed golf courses scattered all over the country.
