I have 10 years experience of working within a variety of commercial
environments including charity, health and consultancy sectors in
administrative and information management positions. I
started work as a Virtual Assistant in early 2006 on a part time basis
and went full time in September 2007.
I have strong IT and office skills and am an advanced user of several
packages including Word, Excel & PowerPoint. I also
hold a BA(Hons) in Business Administration, a Psychology Diploma and
have completed RSA I & II in typewriting.
Some examples of jobs I can take off your hands are:
Diary & Meeting Management
Reminder Service
Travel Arrangements
Letters
Spreadsheets- Creating, Updating, Analysis etc.
Database Management
Information Management
Internet Research
Transcription
General Typing i.e. Reports
PowerPoint presentations
Mail shots
Mailing list management
Databases
Data input
General administration
PA/Secretarial support
Analysis of information
Contact management
Email management
However, if you have any other tasks please let me know the details and
I will be happy to discuss your requirements.
As mentioned in my skills above, in addition to the usual
administrative / secretarial skills that a VA offers, I also have
experience in research and information management. Therefore, if you
have large amounts of information whether it be in a database,
spreadsheet or any other form that needs to be updated, analyzed,
collated, restructured etc. I am your lady. Additionally, if
you need anything researched and presented in a report I can help. In
the past I have carried out research / information management in all
sectors including plane crashes for an aviation loss adjusters so
anything goes and nothing phases me!
Why use a virtual assistant? Firstly, I am flexible and available 24
hours a day so if you need a piece of work done in the evening or
weekend I am around to help out. I can provide either ongoing
assistance or carry out ad-hoc tasks as and when you need
them. You don't have any employee related costs as I am not
an employee and on that note you will also not need to provide me with
any office space or equipment because I have all that myself. You don't
have to commit to taking on a permanent member of staff if you just
have the one-off piece of work that needs doing as I am happy to take
this off your hands but on the other side of the coin, I can also take
on a regular or ongoing project.
On a personal note, I have been involved in various forms of voluntary
work over the years. In particular, I volunteered for several
years as the fund raiser for a local branch of the Alzheimer's Society
where I organized lots of events including a balloon race which was
great fun. My most unusual voluntary work was looking after
the children in the créche of a prison during visiting
hours. More recently I am now the post natal
coordinator for NCT in my local area and organize regular
coffee mornings for mums and their babies/toddlers locally.
